This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the circumstances under which payments made through OnlineClass.edu.lk may be cancelled or refunded.
By purchasing or registering for a service through OnlineClass.edu.lk, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this policy.
1. Digital Educational Services
Most services provided through OnlineClass.edu.lk are digital services. These may include:
- Live online classes
- Recorded lessons
- Online courses
- Monthly class packages
- Revision programs
- Examination preparation programs
- Digital learning materials
- Online assessments and examinations
- Other digital educational services
Because these services may provide immediate access to digital content or scheduled educational sessions, refunds are subject to the conditions described in this policy.
2. Cancellation by the Customer
A customer may request cancellation of a purchase by contacting OnlineClass.edu.lk as soon as possible after completing the payment.
Cancellation requests will be reviewed based on the type of service purchased, whether access to the service has already been provided, and whether the relevant class, course, or educational content has already been accessed or delivered.
Once a live class has commenced or digital content has been accessed, a refund may not be available except where otherwise stated in this policy or required by applicable law.
3. Refund Eligibility
A refund may be considered in the following circumstances:
Duplicate Payment
If a customer has accidentally made the same payment more than once for the same service, the duplicate payment may be refunded after verification.
Payment for an Unavailable Service
If payment has been successfully completed for a class, course, or educational service that is subsequently unavailable and an alternative arrangement cannot reasonably be provided, the customer may be eligible for a refund.
Class Cancellation by the Service Provider
If a scheduled class or educational program is cancelled by the relevant service provider and the service cannot reasonably be rescheduled or replaced, an eligible payment may be refunded.
Technical Issues
If a significant technical problem prevents the customer from receiving a purchased service and the issue cannot reasonably be resolved or an alternative access method cannot be provided, a refund may be considered.
Incorrect or Failed Transactions
Where a payment has been successfully charged but the corresponding order or enrollment has not been properly created due to a technical or processing issue, the transaction will be reviewed and an appropriate resolution, including a refund where applicable, may be provided.
4. Non-Refundable Situations
A refund will generally not be provided in the following circumstances:
- The customer changes their mind after purchasing a service.
- The customer does not attend a scheduled live class.
- The customer fails to use an available course or recorded content.
- The customer has already accessed or downloaded digital educational content.
- The customer misses a class due to personal circumstances.
- The customer provides incorrect registration information.
- The customer fails to meet their own device, internet connection, or technical requirements.
- The customer shares their account or purchased content with another person.
- The service has already been substantially delivered.
However, each refund request may be reviewed based on the specific circumstances of the case.
5. Recorded Classes and Digital Content
Due to the nature of digital educational content, payments for recorded lessons, courses, notes, downloadable materials, or other digital content are generally non-refundable once access to the content has been provided or the content has been accessed or downloaded.
Exceptions may apply where:
- The content purchased is materially unavailable;
- A duplicate payment was made;
- A technical issue prevents access and cannot reasonably be resolved; or
- A refund is otherwise required under applicable law.
6. Live Classes and Class Packages
For live classes and class packages, refund eligibility may depend on whether the relevant classes have already commenced or been delivered.
If a teacher or service provider cancels a class or program and an appropriate replacement or rescheduled session cannot be provided, an eligible refund may be considered.
Customers who simply fail to attend a scheduled class are generally not entitled to a refund.

12. Changes to Classes or Courses
OnlineClass.edu.lk or an individual teacher may occasionally need to change a class schedule, instructor, delivery method, or other course details.
Where reasonably possible, customers will be informed of significant changes.
Depending on the circumstances, an alternative session, rescheduled class, replacement service, or other reasonable solution may be provided.
Where an appropriate alternative cannot be provided, a refund may be considered in accordance with this policy.
